Choose Altitude Over Drama

"The Golden Eagle"

A golden eagle rises above the prairie’s noise, revealing what the world looks like when fear and rumor fall away.
Sometimes clarity is only a few wingbeats higher.

High above the trees, a golden eagle drifts through a rising column of air
just small, steady shifts in its wings that turn uncertainty into lift.
Down below, the prairie fumbles through its usual noise.

Magpies argue their way from one branch to the next, over who knows what, adding drama where there isn’t any.

That’s about as close a thing to drama and politics the prairies sees.

Along the creek, a coyote moves with the quiet confidence of something that trusts its path forward more than its worries.

What most creatures fear, they fear because they’ve never flown high enough to see it clearly.
In the wild, the unknown gets filled in with instinct, not rumor.

But people?
We tend to fill it with fear and drama.
The eagle doesn’t bother with any of that.

It circles higher, letting the chatter fall away until the landscape settles into sense and truth.
What looked confusing reveals its clarity.

What felt threatening shows its true shape.

What was unknown becomes simply… known.
There’s a quiet steadiness in that kind of rise
a reminder that the unknown shrinks the moment you stop circling it with worry
and start circling it with perspective. Sometimes all it takes is choosing altitude over anxiety,
and letting the noise stay where it belongs…
on the ground, far below your wings.
